This vaccine may not be right for everyone. You should not receive it if you had an allergic reaction to a meningococcal vaccine.

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have an immune system problem or a history of nerve problems, including Guillain-Barré syndrome.

This vaccine may not protect everyone who receives it. It will not treat symptoms of meningococcal infection if you already have the disease.

• Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
• Fainting
• Fever, chills
• Diarrhea, vomiting
• Headache, joint or muscle pain, tiredness
