Diflorasone is used to treat the itching, redness, dryness, crusting, scaling, inflammation, and discomfort of various skin conditions, including psoriasis (a skin disease in which red, scaly patches form on some areas of the body and eczema (a skin disease that causes the skin to be dry and itchy and to sometimes develop red, scaly rashes). Diflorasone is in a class of medications called corticosteroids. It works by activating natural substances in the skin to reduce swelling, redness, and itching.

Do not bandage, cover, or wrap the treated area unless your doctor tells you to. If this medicine is used on the diaper area of your child, avoid using tight-fitting diapers or plastic plants.

Your doctor will tell you how much medicine to use. Do not use more than directed.

Topical application routeUse this medicine only on your skin. Rinse it off right away if it gets on a cut or scrape. Do not get the medicine in your eyes, nose, or mouth.
