Daratumumab injection is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat multiple myeloma (a type of cancer of the bone marrow) in newly diagnosed people and in people who have not improved with treatment or who have improved after treatment with other medications but the condition returned. Daratumumab is in a class of medications called monoclonal antibodies. It works by helping the body to slow or stop the growth of cancer cells.

Darzalex is a monoclonal antibody that is used to treat multiple myeloma (bone marrow cancer). Darzalex works by blocking a certain protein in the body that can affect tumor cell growth.

Missed dose: Injection routeThis medicine needs to be given on a fixed schedule. If you miss a dose, call your doctor, home health caregiver, or treatment clinic for instructions.

Tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding, or if you have liver disease (including hepatitis B infection), hereditary fructose intolerance, or a history of shingles (herpes zoster infection) or lung or breathing problems.
