Cevimeline is used to treat the symptoms of dry mouth in patients with Sjogren's syndrome (a condition that affects the immune system and causes dryness of certain parts of the body such as the eyes and mouth). Cevimeline is in a class of medications called cholinergic agonists. It works by increasing the amount of saliva in the mouth.
Evoxac is used to treat a certain symptom (dry mouth) caused by Sjogren Syndrome. Cevimeline is the generic version of Evoxac. Evoxac cost around $806 for 90, 30 mg capsules. This medicine is not right for everyone. Do not use it if you had an allergic reaction to cevimeline, or if you have uncontrolled asthma or an eye disorder, including narrow-angle glaucoma or acute iritis.

This medicine may make your vision blurry. Be careful when you drive or do anything that requires clear vision.
Some medicines can affect how cevimeline works. Tell your doctor if you are using a beta blocker (including atenolol, metoprolol, or propranolol).
