Your doctor will prescribe your exact dose and tell you how often it should be given. This medicine is given as a shot into a muscle or into a vein.

Injection routeA nurse or other health provider will give you this medicine.

Injection routeYou may be taught how to give your medicine at home. Make sure you understand all instructions before giving yourself an injection. Do not use more medicine or use it more often than your doctor tells you to.

It is best for you to lie down while receiving the intravenous (IV) injection and for 10 to 15 minutes afterwards.

For some people, this medicine will need to be mixed with another liquid (such as a dextrose solution) before using it. For other people, the medicine can be injected without mixing.

Injection routeUse a new needle and syringe each time you inject your medicine. Carefully follow all of your doctor's instructions. In addition to this medicine, your treatment plan may also include other measures, such as rest or physical therapy.

This medicine is not right for everyone. Do not use it if you had an allergic reaction to methocarbamol, or if you have kidney disease.

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have liver disease, myasthenia gravis, seizures, or allergy to latex.

This medicine may make you dizzy or drowsy. Do not drive or do anything that could be dangerous until you know how this medicine affects you.

Tell any doctor or dentist who treats you that you are using this medicine. This medicine may affect certain medical test results.

Your doctor will check your progress and the effects of this medicine at regular visits. Keep all appointments.

Severe sleepiness, vision changes or trouble seeing.

Slow or pounding heartbeat.

Tell your doctor if you use anything else that makes you sleepy. Some examples are allergy medicine, narcotic pain medicine, and alcohol.

Some medicines can affect how methocarbamol works. Tell your doctor if you are using pyridostigmine.

Do not drink alcohol while you are using this medicine.

This medicine might change the color of your urine. This color change might affect the results of any urine medical tests.

• Blurred vision, redness, pain, or swelling of the eyes
• Lightheadedness, dizziness, fainting
• Unusual bleeding, bruising, or weakness
• Fever
• Seizures
• Dark urine or pale stools, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, stomach pain, yellow skin or eyes
• Slow heartbeat
• Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
• Pain, redness, swelling, or peeling skin at the injection site
• Confusion, trouble sleeping
• Headache
• Warmth or redness in your face, neck, arms, or upper chest
