Kyprolis

Drug Info for kyprolis

Carfilzomib injection is used alone and in combination with other medications to treat people with multiple myeloma (a type of cancer of the bone marrow) who have already been treated with other medications. Carfilzomib is in a class of medications called proteasome inhibitors. It works by stopping or slowing the growth of cancer cells in your body.

Kyprolis is a protease inhibitor used with other medications to treat adults with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. It is used when treatment with at least one other cancer therapy was tried without success. Kyprolis stops proteasome from breaking down proteins in the cancer cells, causing the proteins to build up and destroy the cancer cells. This medication is available as an injection.
