Elestrin

Elestrin is a transdermal gel that contains estradiol, which is a form of estrogen. Elestrin is used to treat symptoms caused by menopause or removal of the ovaries, such as vaginal itching and dryness, and hot flashes. It can also be used to treat prostate cancer and breast cancer, and to prevent osteoporosis. Elestrin is approved for use by adults only. Children should avoid contact with skin areas that have been treated with this drug, as this drug is absorbed through the skin and can cause side effects in children who come into contact with this medication or with skin where this medication was applied.
