Desoximetasone topical is used to treat the redness, swelling, itching, and discomfort of various skin conditions, including psoriasis (a skin disease in which red, scaly patches form on some areas of the body and eczema (a skin disease that causes the skin to be dry and itchy and to sometimes develop red, scaly rashes). Desoximetasone is in a class of medications called corticosteroids. It works by activating natural substances in the skin to reduce swelling, redness, and itching.

Topicort is a steroid that is used to relieve itching and other skin irritations. It is also used to treat atopic dermatitis, dermatitis, eczema and other conditions as prescribed by your doctor. Topicort works by reducing the action of certain chemicals in the body that causes swelling, redness, itching inflammation. It is indicated for use by adults. This medication is available as a cream.

Topical application routeUse this medicine only on your skin. Rinse it off right away if it gets on a cut or scrape. Do not get the medicine in your eyes, nose, or mouth. Do not use this medicine on your face, neck, armpits, or genital area unless your doctor tells you to.
